Hi their,I'll be honest, Im not building a simulator, maybe in the future, but I'm really curious to how you guys do some things- would you mind telling me how?1) When you build a sim and use say, FS2002 for the graphics, how do you get the flight model? Say you were building a 777 would you have to get a 777 model from PSS? If so what would happen if you wanted to make somthing real obscure that no model had been made for FS?2) How do the buttons work? Do the buttons go straight to EPIC or are they related in any way to FS2002 thru EPIC?3) Anyone heard of real MFD? It says the spec is FS98/2000 do they work with 2002?. How do they work? Is it linked to any old plane in FS or an actual 777, I downloaded it and it works, ie. the screens change but nothing seems to be interacting with it.4) How do you make FMC's? Is the screen special because I cant see someone sacrificing a whole computer monitor just for about 1/6 of it to be used! Anyway thanks, as I say Im curious as to how you do this stuff!Ric

Welcome to our cockpit build simulator world newbie... You will have to start off reaserch the type of your favorite aircraft or an aircraft you would like to fly. You don't really have to get a 777 model from PSS unless you have enough cash with you. You can just build on your own by cutting thin plywood, balsa, or you can use plexicard. You would need to figure out the diameter by doing some reserch or go through few website that has a picture that show you the interior in the cockpit along with instument panel, yoke, throttle quadrant, center pedestal and etc. And all of those push buttons, you will need to buy EPIC card of course, this is only way you can make your simulator like real. May I recommend you to go through Derek Cockpit website, they have tons tons of information how to build up your cockpit panel, and might as well you could get some tips from them the cockpit builder.wish you good luck.
