Go Flight Units and Flight Sims

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody, A few months back, I promised to upload photos of my sim with Go Flight hardware installed. I finally went ahead and tackled this feat, and have been very happy with the results. In the pictures below, you can see a GF-166 being used for the Radio Management Panel and a GF-45 being used for the transponder.http://www.promfd.com/NewProject/gf166a_small.jpg http://www.promfd.com/NewProject/gf166b_small.jpghttp://www.promfd.com/NewProject/gf45f_small.jpg http://www.promfd.com/NewProject/gf45c_small.jpg The GF-45 took a bit of work to install since they weren't designed to be mounted like this, but the conversion only consisted of running ribbon cables from the LEDs to the main board. As for the GF-166 Go Flight is releasing a Remote Mounting Kit for that. I've had the pleasure of working with their GF-166 RMK, and it is FANTATIC! It only took about 20 minutes to get the radio management panel installed and operating! That kit is still in beta from what I understand, but it should be available soon. I have updated my lab journal to include full specs on my experience with these units, so feel free to check out the other photos/information on my web site! The 777 Projecthttp://www.777Project.cjb.netRobert Prather
