August 4, 200223 yr Hello,Does anyone have the instructions to building the VRAC Twin Throttle Quadrant?. The kit only came with the throttle instructions. I am missing the instructions to building the Speed Brake, Flaps, and Engine Reversers. The kit is also missing the handles for the throttle arms. The CD they sent contains no data as well. I have contacted VRAC about this and I am awaiting an answer. You would think that a kit that costs over $400.00 there would be better quality control before the kit is shipped.ThanksMichael

August 4, 200223 yr Hi Andreas,I have those instructions, they show the throttle and pot assembly. What I do not have are the flaps, speed break, and engine reversers. The parts are different so I cannot use the throttle assembly to build these other parts.Michael
August 4, 200223 yr [http://www.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3cc5d15671f44040.jpg] Guys hold on to your money. Not that VRACs throttle kit is garbage- it's actually pretty cool and inovative. But it is still a home brew kit. Made by one guy in his garage. At least that's the impression I got from visiting the website.CH Products, prolly the biggest FS hardware manufacturer, will be releasing a throttle quadrant near the end of this year. There aren't any pictures of this thing available yet, but they say it'll be able to perform both jet and piston functions. There isn't any mention of thrust reversers or anything, but given the quality of their other products, it looks to be promising. And no I'm not a CH salesman, I just figure that you'd probably get better service and quality with a mass produced item than with the "home brew" kit. Everything I ever bought from them has been fantastic (FS Yoke LE, Pro Pedals USB, Fighter Stick Pro). I'd also bet that CHs' quad will be slighly more than half of the cost of the VRAC kit, not to mention that you aren't going to have to put it together and paint it etc. I'd also make a reasonable guess that CHs' quad will have more features to it than just thrust levers. Fuel switches, maybe flaps, maybe spoilers, TOGA?. I'm sure they've recieved plenty of input from the FS community about this over the years. I know I've e-mailed them twice about it.The long and short of it is that it's your choice, but won't you feel lousy when something comes along that is better and less expensive than what you rushed and bought? I considered buying the VRAC myself, but when I heard that CH was going to give it a go, I decided to hang on to my cash and wait and see. JMHOCF-AOA
