REAL BOEING LEVEL D SIM TIME

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,Last year a friend told me UAL had a program called "Pilot for a day" Where customers could come and lease time on their Boeing simulators. I contacted them and of course they said since Sept 11th that program has been permanently canceled. My question to the group is do you any of you guys know any private flight schools that will allow the general to lease time on their simulators? This is something I'm dying to do and will pay any price.Thanks,-PK

Unfortunately, no flight schools are allowed to give acces or training in heavy aircraft or heavy aircraft simulators except to those who are either currently licensed in the type, or transitioning into the type. Hopefully things will ease up a bit in the future, but it could be some time. Check with Air Canada, they also had a simulator time rental program available at Toronto, and possibly Montreal. I did an hour in a 767 sim at CYYZ about 5 years ago.AdrianOcala, Florida

If you can afford it, try Flight Safety Canada over at the Downsview airport in Toronto. They have a few sims in there that they seem to run day and night. Used to be able to hear the hydraulics going all day long when I worked on the DASH-8-Q400 Modline across the road. But be warned, it will be expensive. CF-AOA
