September 25, 200223 yr PeterK Looks like you have the computers now you need a Hub 10/100 baseand install Net BUI on your system...Whats the project?
September 25, 200223 yr It's an A320 Project. Bought all the equipment from a builder in Canada. Has to be reassembled and wired still.
September 25, 200223 yr I bought it from a man named Ron Weins in toronto. You can get all the equipment from these sites.http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/http://home.att.net/~sfinger/home.htmlhttp://www.projectmagenta.com/
September 25, 200223 yr Brad,While that machine would likely work as a secondary computer, it's pretty old. I would assume you are buying it used. How much actual RAM does it have? Hard disk? OS?If the price is low it might be a reasonable deal. If you have to buy more bits and pieces (a hard disk, more RAM, etc.) you might be better off shopping for low end, new machines. ASUS has a neat book shelf micro-tower that runs somewhere around $500 without the monitor.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
September 25, 200223 yr Yes they do have hard disk. I'm wanting them for my Project Magenta Software for my Pilot and co pilot displays. Will they work ok for that. Thanks for any help
September 27, 200223 yr PeterKIm running 4 computers on a network for no reason except that thereavailable...mainly I store the scenery and designers on a seperate system and ship them over to the main flight computer for the simulator.. I tied them all together with a 100 base Hub and Net BUI softwarein fs98Se.. I think as long as the proggram can keep up on the network there should be no problem...I use p160s and p133s with fs2002 and fs2000 and it seems to run ok..A celleron 300 runs fs2002..I know Poky but with the 16meg bansheevideo card im hoplding 15 FPS...slow but it works..The airbus looks good....How does that left handed joystick feel????pete
