October 6, 200223 yr Well, I was diagraming what is to become my new throttle quadrant when I came up with a rather simple question. Let me premise this by saying I'm not horribly electrically minded and this is the first thing I've really ever built. My question is this.... I was going to setup two pots opposing each other like this:|- -| since they are opposing isn't the resistance of one going to be increasing while the other decreasing? I want to do this to save space between the levers. Is the way to overcome this problem by setting the opposite settings in fsuipc on one? Any help is appreciated.JeffAside - I'll try to post some pictures once the building actually commences...I'm gonna try and get the boeing style thrust reverse levers mounted on the throttle levers...we'll see how that goes :)
October 7, 200223 yr Hi Jeff, The solution to your problem: Hardware change: Swap the two outer contacts of the pot (if one of the outer contacts is unused, then move the other side to that one)Or software change: do a "reverse axis" in your FS software setup. Roland
October 7, 200223 yr Thanks Roland for the prompt reply...I knew it had to be relatively easy.JeffBTW - to all of you out there having spousal or significant other problems when it comes to your flightsim obsession, I have found the solution! I asked my wife to help me (expecting a "you must be crazy!"). Instead, she was honored that I asked and said that she would love to help.... It appears for me the solution was just to get her involved! Good luck!
