Source for Inexpensive toggle switches

Featured Replies

I am getting ready to buy a Hagstrom Encoder and am designing my switch panels. I found some inexpensive Rocker switches and push button switches but can't find any inexpensive toggle switches. Radio Shack sells some for about $2.50 each but with the volume of switches I will need it will get quite expensive. The rockers I found were less than a dollar each and so were the push button switches but toggles seem to be $3 or more. Anyone find a good source for inexpensive toggle switches? Thanks,Ken

Ken,Look at Mouser Electronics. I've gotten a lot of components there. http://www.mouser.comNewark is another good source.http://www.newark.comRichard

Ken,You might take a look at the electronics suppliers carrying surplus items. I know that All Electronics www.allelectronics.com and Marlin P. Jones & Associates www.mpja.com carry a variety of switches around a dollar a piece. I have received good service from both companies. Jameco www.jameco.com is another potential source. I have their catalog in front of me as I write. Jameco has several full size toggles priced from US$1.15 to $1.75 in single quantity. Quantity discounts start at 10 pieces. Jameco also has given me excellent service. Finally, there are a variety of similar suppliers listed on the link page on my site.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.comInfo for simpit builders
