How many add-on sceneries allowed in FS2002?

Featured Replies

I'm sorry, I know it's been asked before, but 'search' reveals nothing so I bow to those more knowledgeable. How many add-on sceneries can be added to FS2002?A number I have heard is 322 (for some weird reason) but is that only for scenery kept under FS2002/SCENERY? Or for any scenery folders listed under the SCENERY LIBRARY e.g., those that reside in SCENEDB?I know all the tricks about creating subfolders or putting all my mesh together under author names or categories - done that already, otherwise I'd have a list as long as your arm - but I'm not one who likes to drop stuff into the key SCENERY or TEXTURE directories or one who likes to clog up the ADDON SCENERY folder, so I'd like to maintain individual scenery separation where possible. Easier for upgrades, too. Anyway, I'm up to 316 in my SCENERY.CFG, so please let me know if you have the definitive answer. I recall it's 331. What I do is just create different scenery.cfg for each region (NA, SA, ASIA, EU, OCEANIC, AFRICA). I try not to install within the FS directory as I don't want it be clogged up.I hope this helps. Julian
