Network Login Problem

Need some ideas on why I can't login to a network.I have a WinME computer that I want to add to my MAGENTA network. It will run PM A320 MCDU and HCSDT A320 OHL.For reasons I can't determine, I can't login to the network. When I start the computer I get the Login in window. The computer name is Mcdu. I leave the password empty and click OK.System boots but I never get the LOG OFF area when I click on Start. I see Run, Help, and Search but no Log Off.I think that is why when I select Explorer and click on My Network Places, Entire Network, I never can see the MAGENTA workgroup or the other computers.Things I had done but have not fixed the problem:- Made sure others computers have Sharing enabled (other computers can see each other).- Used a WinXP Network setup disk to create network (worked on other WinME computers.- Deleted .PWL password files.What am I missing?
