Looks like I found a gold mine of information when it comes to Cockpit Building! I've found more great info on this forum in 2 hours then I have in 2 months of searching the net. It's given me great ideas for a possible B737 cockpit. Thanks to everyone who continue to help out us newbies! What has really peeked my interest lately is FSBUS! This is coming from a guy that couldn't solder anything to save his life, yet I'm getting excited to give it a try. However, before I do, I need to ask a couple questions first.1. Where can I find the English version of the FSBUS manual? All I can find is the German version on the FSBUS web site. (oops found it. Thanks)2.In all honesty, what are the chances of building FSBUS with very little electronics experience? And lastly...3. What are the component costs in building FSBUS (overall price)? Thanks in advance!!RegardsGuy

Hi Guy,the soldering is not the problem - its the making of the boards. They are so small that you really need a lot of experience to get them done yourself - and that gets expensive. The electronic parts are not really expensive - but you have to solder them correctly. If you have no experience with electronics at all i would think about doing it myself. At least i would get the boards finished by someone. If you need asisstance feel free to e-mail me:[email protected]

HelloTo make the PCB does not have to be a big problem. I make my owen PCB.In all electronic stores you can buy some transfer to make lines and so, there is all type of transfers, and they also have copper-plate and acid, and they can give your the instruction to acid the PCB.Thats the way i did my FSBUS-COM, FSBUS-KEY, FSBUS-SERVO, FSBUS-DO and FSBUS-DISPLAY.Good luckRegardsFinnDenmark

English version Is on the net. Follow link: http://mysite.freeserve.com/LittlebeckMore information about fsbus:http://www.fsbus.dehttp://www.mikkila.org/fsbusFor elextronics experience. This is just My opinion. - You should be good friend of soldering iron. So soldering is not new thing.- You should know some little basics of electricity. And what basic components do. For example how to attach switch, things like that. With this information you might not blow your computer.- How to make own PCB's. Well, this one is easy task to learn.Costs. In europe. Actually in Finland. Components costs some 15-20 euros per board without PCB.Ask freely if you want to know more.- Jhttp://www.mikkila.org/fsbus

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to give it a try and I'll keep everyone updated!RegardsGuy
