FSBUS ANALOG INPUT CARD

Featured Replies

Hello all, I'll Try again since my last post did not get any replies. May be because I titled it FASBUS instead of FSBUS.AnywayHas anyone built an analog Input card for FSBUS yet?I would like to know if it performs equal to or better than a USB joystick as far as the throttle, eleveator, & Aeilorn inputs are concerned. Thanks for any feedback.Sean W.

Mine is not yet in use, and will be used for throttles, but I am going to try with the yoke as well, at some point.>Has anyone built an analog Input card for FSBUS yet?>>I would like to know if it performs equal to or better than a>USB joystick as far as the throttle, eleveator, & Aeilorn>inputs are concerned.I cannot speak from my own experience, but Dirk said he has tested a yoke setup with the analog module and said it is good enough for yoke.Anyway, *if* it turns out to be a problem, making throttles with FSBUS and having one single joystick connector for yoke and pedals is a workable solution too. Thanks Tuomas.

Hello,My test results with yoke is as follows: under normal circumstances, the input from fsbus analog is handled fast enough. A heavy loaded pc (i used the Austria Wien,Schwechat Scenery AddOn) i noticed significant delays. In my cockpit, i will use X/Y yoke via gameport and all other analog values via fsbus.regards Dirk

Addition to Dirk.I prefer something similar than Dirk suggested.I have tested analog card and performance is outstanding. But. I still pefer normal flight controls via normal gameport or some USB joystick. All others, like throttles, brakes, spoilers and so on via FSBUS analog card.I you have some expensive joystick/yoke what you don't want to brake for specific cockpit. But some 3-4 axle USB joystick. Or just got 4 potentiometers and attach them to gameport. Google can find you tons of drawings how you can attach those potentiometers to gameport.- J

Hi! I've just built my analogue card but I haven't tried it as a joystick.I can tell you it has some latency(I use it for throttle, propeller and mixture control). The fsbus soft read very fast but the fs2002 cannot fallow it. When I try to change the prop fast 3 times up and down the fs2002 play with it for 5 more secs. I don't know what is the problem or where is it. I think it is because of the soft read and write the data for the sim....I've got a gameport and an usb joystick. The Usb much more reliable than the gameport one.You can buy a cheap 3 pot joystick with usb connection, take it apart and build your flight yoke and a pedal, and leave the fsbus controll the throttle. It doesn't need fast changes....
