Hello guys, I have been looking over the posts and the FSBUS site!! amazing cockpit with out epic my wallet thanks you. Now to the real meat of my problem. Where the hell do I start. I have a knowledge of assembling things PCB's and such but how in the world to I get started. My plan is for something simple. Throttle quad. with autopilot controll a radio, and esential switches for PIC 767 now how to get started... Anyone want to help either in private or here. I just need to be pionted in the right direction... Any good doc's that walk you though it???Thanks in advance Don Harrison

Well... I can say I'm in the same situation as you are.I Have decided what I will do and don't know where to start from! So, here's what I'm thinking.First of all we need the PCBs. Without them we cannot do anything. Those are not sold and have to be made. Either by ourselves or by giving the Gerber files to a lab to make them (expensive).I have found and ordered Press-n-Peel film so I'm waiting for its arrival to get started with the PCBs.I will start with the COMIII board, then the Key, Display and Led boards. Parts cost. Not too much but they do. Especially the 7Segment displays where you need 68 of them for complete radios (incl standby) and full MCP with Pilot NAV only (add 3 more for additional Co-Pilot nav). Each cost around 0.6Eur so a lot of money will go there. The good thing is that for such a high quantity they may give you a better price...Hey.. I think I went way off topic here!Anyway. I think the best way is to go modular. As soon as you have the board and populate them, you flash them and start building. The order of what you will build first is totally up to you. Personally I think I will start with the MCP because I need it more. Then Com1, then Nav1, Com2, Nav2 and so on. You don't have to do it all at once.I also think that in such a way you gain the FSBUS experience slowly and progressively.Someone more experienced may give us better guidlines.Regards,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
