September 18, 200322 yr Hey all. Just wanted to share a pic of my rudder pedals for my f-16 sim. I used a pair of UH-60 Rudder pedals I got off of e-bay for 30 bucks and used alluminum for the mechanics. I had a pair of ch pro pedals that I stripped the guts out of and used that for the electronics. Pretty cool. Thanks for all the ideas I've seen here.http://www.blackoperations.com/gallery/Fgallery1-7.jpgLaterz,Ericmy pit website: http://www.blackoperations.com
September 18, 200322 yr Hi!It looks really fantastic. My next project gonna be the pedal also. I'm afraid I have to construct it with wood - it's cheap and easy to handle - and of course it's not so nice than this ones hereThe idea is really good. I will check up for those parts on the web.
September 19, 200322 yr Sweet!! I am trying to figure out how best to tacle my pedals. Boeing houses theirs in a big "box" with two long struts and a pivotal joint running down through the floor of the deck. The physical components are pretty easy to simulate, but the functionality will be a bit of a challenge .AGT restored these for me (as well as my tillers). They came out SPECTACULAR!!! They were removed from a 727 and have been sand blasted and powder coated to match the new brown Boeing pedals.http://t-b-x.com/prather/777project/NewPro...es14a_large.jpghttp://t-b-x.com/prather/777project/NewPro...es14d_large.jpgGood luck with your project, and certainly keep us posted on your progress.Roberthttp://t-b-x.com/prather/777project/banner1.jpghttp://ProMFD.cjb.net
September 19, 200322 yr Those are pretty cool. I had to have the working toe brakes on mine as well. I was surprised by how sturdy they came out to be using the alluminum. You shouldn't have any problems getting them working well especially given their design. Take advantage of the horizontal mounting holes in the pedals. Done right, it makes the toe brake application very easy. :-)You gonna link em up? I'd like to see you progress as well.I've been thinking of building a 7?7 sim after I finish my f-16 sim. I like both type of flying. Very different environments though. Eric
