New York Times Article

A truly fantastic article appeared in the today's "Circuits" section regarding our home built cockpits. Of course all of the masters were quoted and mentioned...Price, Ford, Schiratti,Cos, Prather and Hirayama. It also mentioned that the FBI will leave us alone so long as we use our pits for entertainment only. Makes for great reading...

For you non New Yorkers, this is an update to an earlier post...this is the thread that takes you to the article on the NYT site...you have to register (free) to read it. It's worth it.http://www.nytimes.com/pages/technology/index.html

Most interesting! Thanks for posting the link.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com

Great article. Thanks for posting.Remember to watch those bulkheads guys. Ouch!-Leo

Hi All -That article was spectacular! I wish that Avsim could feature it on their front page to get more people interested in building.I e-mailed it to everyone I know and got great reactions....seems that it's an area that is not well known, but many people after reading it are awe struck.Great advertising for our hobby.Ken

My friends are awe struck when entering my cockpit...and they all have a death grip on the yoke of my Airbus 320 when on final...I have to tell them to stay calm and relax...the view outside the front windscreen is 8 by 6 ft and can give you a little vertigo...This is a great hobby and my friends are all abuzz about the article. Now at least they stop breaking chops about the FBI stuff...I agree AVSIM should feature it...

Hey,Would love to see your cockpit someday too!Are you in the city or a borough?I'm in Jersey myself.Ken
