>and a twin engine turboprop quadrant:Hi! That looks more like a Piper twin piston quadrant. But anyhow a neat item and probably a great starting point for a sim throttle setup.Heh, at first when I read your message I thought you got fed up with everything and wanted to sell your panels and throttles and started golfing or something instead of those insane simulator projects.. :) Tuomas

Uh - too fuuny. I have a great set of clubs - wanna buy them? I've played twice all year. My plan in the spring was to work on the sim when the weather was too crappy for golf. Didn't work out though...I don't really have the background to tell the difference re: the throttle - just going by what was in the auction when I bought it :(I don't think I'll EVER quit building this sim - it's a living thing, evolving and maturing as time goes by.

Nothing against golf, it was just the first thing that got to my mind.>I don't really have the background to tell the difference re:>the throttle - just going by what was in the auction when I>bought it :(Yea. It'll work for many things though, so it's a good thing to buy if one wants to build a throttle set. I'm guessing it's a Piper because of the friction lock lever on the right, it looks like the one in Pipers. This is a Saratoga:http://tigert.gimp.org/vatsim/albums/pipers/aao.sized.jpgI'd get it if it wasnt in the US, no sense mailing it this far. In any case it should be a good buy for someone who is into twin prop cockpit stuff. And sure it would work for a turboprop too.>I don't think I'll EVER quit building this sim - it's a living>thing, evolving and maturing as time goes by.Yep. That's the beauty of it. I'm building my yoke right now, here's an example. I *think* this will work. ;)http://tigert.gimp.org/vatsim/albums/homec...t/aam.sized.jpgBasically it's using two kitchen drawer slides for the elevator axis, and the aileron part is handled by the "thing" in the middle which is from an arcade driving game (OutRun, if one remembers that from the 80's)It'll be mounted inside the panel "casing" just below and behind the TFT. Still quite a bit to do but starts to look like it might work out.Tuomas
