November 10, 200322 yr Has anybody successfuly started a Jet form a cold and dark position yet using keyboard commands in FS 2004? I can't get the N1% over 22 and down goes the attempted spoolup. Control E is OK but that is not what I am after. Does anybody else have this problem?Worse, the old J (Jet Starter) appears to be totally non funcitonal..
November 10, 200322 yr Ok, it seems to me like a fuel flow problem. Either that or you're not holding down the starter until the engine actually kicks in.As part of your pre-flight checks you should verify that the fuel flow is not set to cut-off as this will starve the engine of fuel. These switches are found behind the throttle levers, and should be set forward (in the run position). And finally, make sure that the generators and batteries are all switched on, else it won't continue turning after it fires.Hope this is of some help, it usually works for me, so it should work in theory. If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to put them down :DCeawlinBSX029
November 11, 200322 yr On my real 737 set-up, I switch on the starter, using the fsuipc interface, at 24-24% N1, I raise the fuel cut-off lever to run. This is how the real one's operate. In the fsuipc tabs you can set-up a switch wired thru your joystick port button pin and assign it as jet start 1 or 2. Works fine for me.Rob
