November 16, 200322 yr Hi all,Just wanted to update you on my findings on my new CPFlight MCP. I now have20 hours flying time on it.Initial install went bad due to a glitch in the software. If you assignwrong comm port it locks you out from changing it again. It will be fixedsoon. After getting everything working as it should all I can say is WOW!!! VERY nice unit, yes it is85% size of real one but, several thousand dollars cheaper and looks veryclose. Operation is flawless so far with easy integration either with FSalone or thru my PM mcp software. The config software is VERY easy to use and will advise on it more when I get my interface board. Rotaries feel nice, all switches functionas designed. Overall i'm very impressed and can't wait to start hooking upmy inputs and outputs via the MCPEX1 board due to arrive shortly. This isgreat unit for the 737 guys that is highly functional and affordable.--Rob ArcherJust another flightsim nut with a real 737 cockpitwww.geocities.com/raflyer/index
November 16, 200322 yr What was the cost and delivery time? I see on their web site they are out of stock. Thanks!
November 17, 200322 yr Nice Rob... congratulations! Isn't it great when you order new hardware it lives up to expectations?
November 24, 200322 yr Hi RobGot mine as well! I did the same as you and and allocated the wrong com port.In test mode, Everything checks out, but when I open 2004 all the controls are dead - no lights, no nothing. I am probably being very thick, but do I have to asign all the controls from the drop-down menu?Regards Ian
November 24, 200322 yr Hi,You have to start the cp-com.exe before anything will work. The cp-config.exe is for assignments to the input-and outputs other than the autopilot. I have mine wired up turning on the landing lights at the gear lever, flap position lamps in the overhead and several button/toggle switches. It has a couple of bugs but htey will get them worked out. Very minor and still a GREAT product.Rob
