Hey Richard,Ugly is only in the eye of the beholder! If it works, don't sweat it. Some of my early boards were a lot worse, and I had to use solder to make some bridges over the parts of the traces that almost dissolved. Most boards aren't seen anyway.Great progress there...Have you seen some of those new LCD displays that have white lettering on a blue background? They're really eye catching. Do your displays also have backlighting capability?Regards,Kenwww.DakenSkys.com

I'll put mine (with green backlight) in the place where the FMC normally is. At least I'll have something there then.Maybe replace my current 2*20 with a 4*20 then and show whatever data I 'm missing in other places on there.Someone figured out yet how to contact the dude who made the FSlcd software ?? I really badly need a new version of his software. It needs the option to have a key to toggle different data on the display. That way a 2*20 display could be much more interesting and hold soooo much more data than it can do now.

I agree with Ken, Richard.Keep up the good work.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com

Thanks Ken.... If you look at the picture you can see a couple of places wher I had to draw with a silver pen over places where the traces are broken. :-( Actually, the traces weren't broken in the etching, but when I used a cleaned the sharpie ink off the traces after etching. It wasn't till after I realised I'd broken some traces that it occured to me that there was no reason to do that anyway! All I actually needed to clean was the pads. No, the displays aren't backlit - I bought a lot of five of these 2 x 24's off eBay, and didn't realise till I got them that they have no backlight. Now I know why they were so cheap :-) Since I almost invariably fly daytime VFR that won't be a big deal anyway. Now to wire all the rotaries and swap buttons etc and mount it in a face plate.....Richard

His e-mail is in the "about" section of his software. However, I've maild him a couple of times without any responce. If anyone else knows how to address an LCD .. pls let me know. Either that guy can make a new software which takes out whatever bug it is you found and add the optopn to toggle different data on the LCD's. Or he can tell me how to address the LCD cuz I know all the rest. (how to talk to LPT and how to get fsuipc in my programs)

I'm looking into it and I have found a few sites.I'll write a test program this weekend to see if I see it possible to do this.
