November 30, 200322 yr Has anyone ever tried wiring a switch to the ground and 2 inputs ?The idea was to have e.g. wire 1 to 10 set as "a" to "j" and then 11 would be "shift".Is it possible to use just ground and 1 for one pushbutton and then re use ground with shift AND 1 ? Then you'd get "a" for the one pushbutton and "A" or "shift+a" for the other.Has this been tried ?I assume this for sure is not possible if you use switches or rotarys that stay "on" .. but maybe for push buttons it would be possible ..??
November 30, 200322 yr I've never tried this, but I think the easiest and safest way to do it would be by using switches or pushbuttons with two independents circuits: e.g. one circuit wired to 1 (a) and the other to 11 (shift). Moreover, as "Shift" must be pressed first, it's necessary to add a delay between the two keystrokes in the configuration file.Good luck!.Oscar LilloBCN-Spain
November 30, 200322 yr ow yes indeed! good pointi forgot about the delay option .. i think .. hmmz must read the readme file again ..however, switch with 2 independent ... hmmzi got my switches already .. and they do have 2 independent circuits but 1 is always open (closes on press) and 1 is always closed (opens on press)if this thing would work, than that would mean that one could hang more than 72 switches/buttons on this card !ownage !! :(
December 1, 200322 yr If you want more switches, you should have bought the KE24. Because it has a matrix of 12 x 12 you can use 144 switches and it is even cheaper too.Norbert
December 2, 200322 yr >i got my switches already .. and they do have 2 independent>circuits but 1 is always open (closes on press) and 1 is>always closed (opens on press)so, you only have switches with one circuit and two positions. In this case, a solution might be "circuit-B" shown in the attached file. But it's necessary to use some diodes and, as I said in my first mail, I've never tried this.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/51087.jpg
