December 3, 200322 yr HiI got an e-mail from somen who asked me if I could make the DesktopModule I show on my website. And how much it would cost.I did some calculations and if I would make 1 only then it would cost around 160 euro. This price however could be reduced a bit if there were others that were interested too.All I need to know is if there are others that might be interested and most important, am I allowed to just make these and sell ? And am I allowed to advertise this on the net ?I think the best idea is to see how many modules I can make from 1 part of material (PVC-plate) and then gather that much people and make them. If then there are others, wait till I got that much people again and go on.More info can be found on my website.
December 3, 200322 yr Hey there, Phillippe. You could use LED lit switches on an LPT connected panel if you wanted. Just use a double switch and have one pair of contacts connected to the LPT, and the other pair connected to the LED and to a standalone power supply - a couple of "AA" batteries for example.Richard
December 3, 200322 yr yeah i know .. and then have those people change batteries every 2 days ..i think that's rather silly ..the thing i'm gonna try to do is replace the 9V batery I got for my "strobe-led"-show-thingy with 12V that i'll get out of my computer and reduce the voltage with a little black thingy the electronic-store guy sold me.then also, when you use leds, it's the sim that has to control if they are on or off, not the panel. cuz when you start the sim and eg the led for batery is off, but in the sim it is on .. how then are you gonna correct that ..i dunno .. leds just require something else like fsbus or so.i got the same problem in my cockpit .. or at least i will have soon. i'll have fsbus so i can use leds for the gear etc .. but there are lots of buttons that work in my fokker50 panel from Espen Oijordsbakken that are not going to change any of the fsuipc variables .. so fsbus won't get the trigger and the led won't work .. or at least will stay on, or off.how to solve this ? i'm not sure yet ..i should get fsbus software to catch the key that is sent with my hagstrom as well as fs does catch it and then have fsbus do something with that trigger ...

The only LEDs I have are gear up / gear down, and they run off two AA batteries (That I've never yet changed, by the way) with a capacitor to delay the action a realistic looking amount. It's not really accurate of course - if the sim puts in a gear failure and a gear doesn't lock, I still get the green light anyway - but it looks OK.Richard
