FSBUS CA Display

Featured Replies

Hi all, i have a problem with 2 new displays (5 Common Anode 7-seg each, Kingbright SA52-11HWA) , in the flash combobox i select the FS Display CA firmware and the write flash process was successful , but the first single digit numeric remain extinguisher all the time. The same display controler works fine with the 5 common cathode and i have the same reaction from the others controlers(PIC16F84 and F84A) when i test the CA displays.I made the tests with 2.06 and 2.08. I think the problem is with the type of led displays.A common cathode is different from a common anode by the pins layout. Simply switching them over may not work, plus they operate slightly differently. Hence the anode led's not lighting up. Try checking the pin layout and set them accordingly.

Hi Ceawlin thanks for the quik replayi look the internal circuit diagram of CA/CC displays and i think they have the same pin layout besides the four CA of the five CA leds works fine. This is an example of the problem : I give an FS-Source Standard.AP.Altitude ,to the controller that i have flash with the FS Display CA firmware and i set the altitude 32000 ft in FS2002 autopilot the reading on the displays is 3200 , the first display stay extinguisher.I have check with an ohmmeter for broken links ,but both of the displays look ok.If anybody have build a 5 Common Anode 7-seg display please let me know.ThanksJohn Dafermos
