I thought I'd share my INITIAL Gmax designs for my new B1900D home cockpit. woohoow !!finally some other guy who's found the way to Gmax ;)I even used 3DsMax in the end but that's the same thing.This stuff is quite some work, but is excellent to help you create a "visual model in your mind".The thing is .. you start building a cockpit and you got no idea where to start.The trick for me was to get a good visual idea in my head, so that I knew exactly what I was going to build. Seeing the real thing on a picture doesn't do much for me. Building it in 3D helped quite a lot.a Simpit is not a real cockpit and the "not visible" things like constructions etc are most important at first. If you look at pictures of the real thing, you can't always get a clear look at what is required "behind the panels"So anyway, i cheer to this .. g-max is free .. use it to da max ! :(

By the way, on www.raytheonaircraft.com there's the "fire and rescue card" you can download - while it is a nice thing to print and laminate for your cockpit, it also contains a vector graphics drawing of the panel. It is pretty crude, but detailed enough to be useful. It is not in scale, but if you figure out some dimension (gauge hole or such) and scale up accordingly, you get a pretty good head-on picture of the panel.
