December 31, 200322 yr maybe I shouldn't post this in the cockpit builders forum but this is the only part of the avsim that i frequent so ..I got a situation and I hope I can solve this without a re-install of FS2002 ..When I'm in 2D panel view (only then) I have 20% of my screen that seems to do weird things. At first it is black but sometimes it has rastered patern and shows some weird things .. part of the outside view etc ..I have this same problem even if I change airplane, or whatever. Not in outside view, not in 3D view, not in tower view. Only with the panel. So I can't see the lower part of my panel. Only when i drag it up a bit I can see it .. but then my top 20% of my panel is outside the display :/Totally weird situation I think .. and got no idea how to solve this (other than reinstall but I don't feel like it atm.)It is not 3D card related cuz in other games I have no such issues ..Any thought ??
December 31, 200322 yr On FS9.cfg there is a setting in the graphics section that is something like "PANEL_AS_TEXTURE=1", try changin that to 0, it has solved speed issues wiht some video cards. Maybe it could help with this too.No other ideas. Maybe try different drivers etc? Has this happened all the time? Since you installed/changed something?Tuomas
January 1, 200422 yr indeed it happens all the timehowever, changing something in FS9 wouldn't do much since the problem is in FS8 ;)but what I thought is that maybe this has something to do with having both fs9 and fs8 on 1 pc .. ? allthough then more people should have had this problem ..when I'm back home i'll try and take a screenshot of this .. dunno what it 'll look like cuz you know ... what you get on a screenshot is not always what you see on your screen (e.g. try taking a screenshot of an avi movie playing in WMP ... )

Do you run it at 16 bit? Has it never worked? Since when did it break? Sounds much like a driver problem. The newest drivers rarely mean the best, I still think the NVidia Detonator 29.4something works better than the latest for my GeForce 3..And I think FS2002.cfg also has the panel as texture option, check it out.Tuomas
