January 22, 200422 yr Hi all, newbie here! I have FS2004 installed, FSUIPC installed, FsBus installed. FSUIPC shows up in MODULES menu under FS2004, I have a registered key, all looks good. The FS2004 icon on FsBus never shows that it is talking with FSUIPC..... any ideas??Thanks for any help...Budman

The>FS2004 icon on FsBus never shows that it is talking with>FSUIPC..... any ideas??A super dummy check: Is FS2004 running? Also, FSBUS router has the "freeware key" built in as far as I know, so you can use it with an unregistered FSUIPC as well, so that shouldnt be a problem. However the registration gives you a lot of useful goodies in the config section that are useful for cockpit builders anyway, so it is worth it registering in any case.Tuomas
January 23, 200422 yr Yes, FS2004 is running, and I had tried it before I installed the registered key as well. I am really perplexed, since this does seem to be such a no-brainer to get this up and running. I program in C, VB, PHP, JAVA, and asm.....does anyone have a short code snippet or something I can run to try and get some data from FSUIPC to make sure that the dll is working correctly under WIN XP ? If so, then I can try and concentrate on what might be happening with FsBus....??Thanks again for any and all help.Budman>Hi all, newbie here! January 23, 200422 yr Budman,There is a "Hello world" style code example in the FSUIPC doc package.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
January 23, 200422 yr >Budman,>>There is a "Hello world" style code example in the FSUIPC doc>package.>>Mike>www.mikesflightdeck.comAlso there are the "FSLOOK" apps included with the SDK if I remember correctly that basically show you a bunch of variables that you can set to auto-update etc..Tuomas
January 23, 200422 yr Or you can download my "FSPanel" app from the file library - if FSUIPC is working right, it'll display an instrument panel with all the instruments functioning properly. If all the instruments are centered / zeroed then it's not connecting to FSUIPC.Richard
