Panel scale

Featured Replies

I am interested in getting some feedback regarding your panels and what scale you have used. I don't have a generous amount of space, so I've been scaling everything down to 75%. My project is a 757 cockpit. It's a compromise and my concern was readability of the instruments. Just wondering how those who have scaled down might have tackled or thought about this problem or others and what scale might be popular among those building in tighter confines.

Ricardo, we meet again-- Maybe you would want to check Mike Lehkamp's bird which can be found at www.Deltaflight.com and get idea how Mike Lehkamp did his work. He did a lot of renovation-- Believe it.. A LOT! for last 8 years, I think. If I were you-- I'd e-mail him with the same question you ask.Hope that helps :-)

Yes, we meet again! I have visited the Deltaflight website many times, it's pretty much what motivated me to start my project. I have followed their progress for the past couple of years. I did read somewhere on his site that the displays were not scale but pretty close. I have a feeling that other people have compromised and wonder what scale they might be using. I'll have a webpage setup by Monday to give the community a little insight into my project.

That would probablly be helpful by having a visit to your webpage. Sometimes its had to determine the scale because of insufficent information regarding to real flight deck. Barely close, or using judgement would be the only best bet.
