Keyboard Emulator

Featured Replies

Hello-I couple weeks ago I stripped down a spare PS2 Dell Keyboard to build an emulator. The keyboard card has no wires running into holes, it just had little black triangles that line up with one of the plastic sheets. Is there anyway that I can use this keyboard or should I get a new one? If so, which is best for what I want to do?Thanks, pwapilot

Those black triangles are virtually impossible to wire to. You can try fixing wires to a smooth surface and clamping that to the card, but it's a bugger. With old keyboards available at any Goodwill for $1.99 I'd just get another one. When I was fiddling with this subject, I found that the IBM brand ones had nice connection pins that the ribbons to the matrix connected to.Richard
