April 7, 200422 yr I have built all off my FSBUS cards and everything is working just great. I have only one problem left. I can not get the decimal point to work the way the docs say it should. I put the 120 ohm resistor where stated and nothing happens. My only thought is that I have etched the circuit board in the wrong direction. If anyone who has a working decimal point has a segment board that they can send a picture to me of the proper orientation and parts placement, I would appreciate [email protected]
April 7, 200422 yr G'day Mondo, Well you are the first person I have seen talk about that problem, I dunno if everyone else just worked it out for themselves or maybe we have an early version of the board layouts that have been since revised, but I too had the same thing happen to me, after some study of the circuit diagram I came up with this solution, just solder those two centre pins together with a solder blob & "Bobs Your Uncle" !! Here is a Pic of where to solder.Cheers Glenn.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/70317.jpg
April 7, 200422 yr Thank you very much Glenn. I believe that everybody had this problem. I did work it out by running a jumper from pin 11 to the solder pad for the decimal point. I just wanted to make sure that I had at least built my board right. Thanks again, Mondo.
