Setting up FSBUS

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,I will use the FSBUS interface system for all the interfacing in my cockpit. The only thing I have to do is setting FSBUS up in my network. Is there anyone who can tell me how to do this.Regards,Boy Bruin

Hi Boy,You can just run FSBus on the flightsim PC in the background however if you require it to run on another PC via a network you will need to become familiar with WideFS written by Pete Dowson, you can obtain WideFS here:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlAll support & documentation can be found at this site.Cheers Glenn. You can check out my Simpit Project here:http://www.simhardware.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33

Hi Glenn,I want to run FSBUS on a network, I already have PM running on a network. I need the info how to run FSBUS on the network.Regards,Boy Bruin

Boy, FSBus communicates to flightsim via FSUIPC using FSUIPC offset adresses, Project Magenta also utilises FSUIPC offsets, FSBus can only communicate using FSUIPC offsets, so you either run FSBus on the Flightsim PC where it can communicate to FSUIPC directly or on a networked PC using WideFS, once FSBus has established communications to FSUIPC either way you can then send commands to & from project magenta via FSUIPC offsets, does that make sense.Glenn.You can check out my Simpit Project here:http://www.simhardware.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33

Hi Glenn,I didn't know that FSBUS was running only with WidefS, I thought there was another program needed to run FSBUS on a networked computer.I will set up FSBUS in my network right now.Thank you for explaining this.Regards,Boy Bruin

There is a FSBUS network program included in the package, I think the documentation have some examples. I havent used it myself though. What I know is that the CID number zero is reserved for network data. I dont think you need WideFS to do this thouhg since my understanding is that FSBUS can communicate with two fsbus routers. Wasnt there a right click -> new -> Network object? I am not sure and dont have the app here right now.//Tuomas

Toumas, I was always under the impreesion that that was only to send keyboard commands to another PC, I have not yet explored that option so am not too sure myself.Glenn.You can check out my Simpit Project here:http://www.simhardware.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33
