June 19, 200421 yr I am makeing my own cad file for the mcp...Well, by 7-segs displays are 13,8mm by 18mm (pretty standard), but i found that the "holes" in the real mcp, for a 5 cyphres display, are 40mm.... that makes for displays 8mm wide!Since the step is 2.54mm it can't be that small, unless going with smd or the likes....What did you do to solve this problem?
June 19, 200421 yr Claudio,Did you have a look at article number 'SA 39-11 GE' on www.reichelt.de?They sell 7-segment-displays (red and yellow) that are 10mmx13mm and cost only
June 19, 200421 yr 10x13 is not 8x10far from it...The best choices are thesehttp://www.distrelec.it/isroot/SupplyStore...aaadababac.htmlandhttp://www.distrelec.it/isroot/SupplyStore...aaadababaa.html
June 19, 200421 yr Even better! 7.6 mm wide that's about the real size. How much do they cost in Italy?
June 19, 200421 yr KnightBright SC36-11xxxx series. The xxxx are the color and intensity codes.Personally I use the SC36-11SRWA bright Red.Edit: Oh, did I mention that they fit perfectly?!RegardsGeorge DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
June 19, 200421 yr Your "pusher"?Anyway i just thought that every 7seg available to the public is kind of "slewed"I mean the cypher is not strainght vertical, but inclined. In the real thing, they use "straight" ones....Where to find such kind of display?
June 19, 200421 yr Unfortunately Distrelec has a complex site, so direct linking does not work (and i didn't notice until some time after i posted). So the links above do only show the tech details and not the pdf links nor the price. If you open http://int.distrelec.com you can see the price of their products in euro.
June 20, 200421 yr You can find KnightBright in any good electronics store. As for the inclination, you are right. But I haven't seen any consumer electronics displays not being inclined.I assume boeing (and the rest) are using custom ordered displays. The latest NGs come with blue led displays too!You can find blue led displays, but they are more expensive and again inclined. However, the SC36 series is not too much and it's barely noticable.George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
June 20, 200421 yr Yes you are right about the sc36.Distrelec has them, for nice price, but unfortunately not in stock :(And i also have to remake the pcbs...Well you can't have everything :(
