Relays used on FSBUS D/O board?

Recommended Posts

Guest Raafie75

Could anyone inform me about the relays used in the Digital Out board. The ones specified I cannot find anywhere. Is there anyone that could let me know what I'd need for a replacement.Kind Regards,

Hi Brad, almost any relay with a coil resistance of about 500 Ohms would do the job. Of course it depends what you want to switch. The Flipflop (74LS374) can max drive 250 Ohms at +5V supply voltage.Basically Reed relays like from COTO or equivalent would do.Check out this site: http://www.cotorelay.com/html/reed_relay_2200_series.htmThe type: 2204 would be perfect.Hope this helpsBest regdsPeter

Hi,What is the max load that can be put on these relays? I have an annunciator panel populated by mini 12 vdc lamps - 2 in each, similar to 387's but 12 instead of 24 volt. Can the DO board relays handle that?

Hi Mitch, the Coto relay I referred to in my prev. post handles about 500mA at 12V. So it should do. Most of the small reed relays can handle between 500mA to 1A at 12V.Best rgdsPeter
