Wide Field of View in FS2004

Featured Replies

Hi,Just a quick question - is it possible to create a single external view in FS2004 which shows a 180 degree field of view???In other words, whatever angle you look forward, from dead ahead to 90 degrees left or right, you see the correct view. I want to try and achieve this so I can 'experiment' with my projector, a curved screen and some lenses. As always, regards to all,Chris

Doesn't the zoom feature give you something close to it? May look ghastly on screen, but if it projects correctly, it may be the easy option... Although you may have to set it each time

Unfortunately not, it literally moves you back or forward but still with a forward perspective.I guess I might be stuck with 3 views, forward, left 45 degrees and right 45 degrees but this still doesn't give me what I really want.Just to clarify what I'm after, a 180 degree view, when travelling forwards in a straight line would have the centre of the image coming towards you (ie increasing in size), with items progressively accelerating to the edge of the display the further away from centre you go. I don't actually need 180 degrees, and this would be difficult to achieve with projectors anyway, but something in the region of 120 degrees plus would be great.CheersChris
