Boeing 737-400+ MDF pedestal replica on ebay germany

Featured Replies

Please don't get me wrong, I'll pay for quality, Magenta Glass Cockpit is beautiful and worth every cent but 260.00 Euro for this.Looking at the pictures it is just 7 bits of MDF with some batons and cross bracing. I bet those are not real DZUS rails! Even without any carpentry skills you could buy the MDF in a DIY superstore for 50 Euros and pay a professional carpenter to make the same and still have enough change from 260 Euros to buy an OpenCockpits masterboard and display board to start populating it.Simon WebbUK

I will say it again: It is one of three prototypes for an aluminium pedestal. You are not right, if you say, that a carpenter do it for less than 260 Euro. There is no socialism in Germany. These times are over. The mateial itself costs 130 Euro, the carpenter is paid with 150 Euro (cutting MDF, aluminium internal frame, alu-rails and pre-color finish). After paying carpenter, you must give the color finish and calculate how much work you put in it. I think 260 Euo is a fair price! The aluminium all in all pedestal should cost 330 Euro and this is really cheap. My company even try to hold the prices low and make simming available to people with low budget. Give an idea how you would hold the price low!

My deepest appoligies Marcus, your original post was mearly a pointer to something on ebay, and not reading German I foolishly assumed it was a one-off someone was selling. If this is going to be a metal finished pedestal then BRAVO, at that price it deserves to sell well for you and I wish you every success.Humblest appologiesSimon WebbUK
