The Simavionics throttle

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if Simavionics has started moving on the numerous request for a 737 throttle quad? Currently I am in the R&D stages for a 737NG type throttle quad, thanks to the numerous resources on the web, and especially from those who have sent me diagrams, plans, dems, and what not. The 767 quad looks to be of such high quality that it is almost enough for me to reconsider building the 767 instead!Any news is appreciated!Eric

Perhpas you should look at the development and production cycle of the 75/76 throttle - it has been over a year, and I do not think anyone has one yet! Let alone the 73 version!!!You could always switch to a 76 and then put the throttle in 2 or 3 years later as the last piece!!!:-)

So, youre saying that no one actually has one delivered yet? Well, I will definately continue R&D for the 737NG unit Im working on then.

In a very recent post in their forum they stated that they just managed to solve a huge problem they had with the production for the last 6 months. ( http://www.simavionics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=154 )In brief, they aborted the die-cast metal case because they could not get the same results and had a lot of cracks on the metal ####.They say that the case will be 3mm fiberglass instead. This has another good result. The unit will weight 2Kgs less! They don't mention a release date, but I hope it won't be long now since the problems seem to be solved. The above is for the 767 Throttles. No mention on the 737 TQ.George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
