Information leading to the capture and safe recovery of a set of Beechcraft A65 80 Queenair sub panel light plates. After searching for 6 months for a set for my cockpit I have had no success.I've bought a POH and parts catalogue but there isn't enough detail in them to help me have a set manufactured.Even some detailed pics of the panels would help meSomeone out there must know where there is a derelict Queenair.Http://simflight.fotopic.net

I didnt find Queen Air stuff, but Raytheon Aircraft website has "Crash / Fire Rescue Cards" as pdfs for download - at least those show a bit of the lower panels (and you get the basic shape plus switch locations - then something like airliners.net will give you ideas what's in where.https://www.racpubs.com/t_crash_card.aspThey probably need a reqistration thanks to the us government new legistlation, probably everything related to aircraft technical stuff needs an identification. Anyway, those can be downloaded and theres a doc for B99 king air which is not that different - only turboprop, but the lower panel might be quite similar. Also see http://tigert.gimp.org/aviation/vatsim/coc...r/panel-layout/ - some pics I found from somewhere a long ago, thus unable to give credit to the author since I forget where :( - but that should give you an idea what you can put where - it's your sim and of course you can just figure out what subsystems you want to simulate - they are very likely on the same locations on all Beechcraft cockpits - for example the King Air cockpits are very similar to the B1900 panels etc..Hope this is at least a bit useful. Also flightdecksolutions has a rough overview of their kingair panel, but I think it is also a bit of an estimation - and well, all of those are a bit different here and there - probably depending on what options you had ordered with the aircraft, and which minor changes happened over the years. But I'd suggest you concentrate on the question: What you want to simulate? Like, landing gear for sure - the photos on my site show a closeup of that panel, light switches are shown thenre, anti-ice also, etc.. and the basic shape you can figure out from the PDF - it is vector graphics (although a bit rough) but you get the idea and measure the shape from your real panel to get the size right - it hopefully gets you a bit further - good luck and post pics :)//Tuomas

Thanks Tuomas, I have tried all those things already. I even have a contact at Raytheon and he says that the only drawings they have are too poor for my requirements. I have the King air info including the crash cards, but whilst I can find many details on the Kingair, and the panel is about the same dimensions overall, the Queenair is considerably different having mag switches etc and a different layout for the gear, flaps and really all of the switches as far as I can see. As you suggested, I may just have to make up my own layout. I already have the gear and flap switches as well as the generator and flap instruments and I suppose unless I get an old Queenair pilot , no one else will know the diffrence anyway. It may be that I will soon go down the turboprop hybrid route, but I'm waiting to see what Simkits releases in the way of twin instruments before I do that

Thanks again Tuomas. I did a search on ggogle again and I found some adverts for Queenairs for sale with some slightly better pics than I already have and now I have some details that i need. the search continues though.

It seems to be _really_ hard to find good detailed pics.. wow. But the aircraft sale websites at least might have some new pics in the future too.//Tuomas
