I'm at a point where I can now use what I've made to fly the plane - I'm building a bae146 and need help with the MCP.The bae climbs 1 of 2 ways - either by maintaining an ias or by a vertical rate.By Speed.Wind the throttles up to the desired speed and press the ias button and it will trim to maintain that speed.By VSPull/Push the yoke to the desired setting then pressing the v/s button, and it will maintain that rate of climb, or descent.GSL - is used for the glideslope - but at the moment it intercepts the gs but maintains the height - I think the altitude is over ruling the gs.Vor/Loc this is also an option but I can't find the offset on the fsbus commands. At the moment, as soon as I press alt for the altitude, it climbs at a set rate - and I've been unable to do it like it should. And the ias will move the throttle to maintain the speed in a level flight - which because the bae doesn't have autothrottle is way out of there.Any ideas/solutions?Here is a pic of where it was yesterday morning - I've added the heading, and the obs rotary for the nav1 (far left)http://www.nzdragons.com/cockpit.jpg

All but the IAS-mode can be done by the default FS autopilot. If you just cut&paste the autopilot section from any default aircraft, you have everything you need except the ias.Unfortunately FS doesn't support the IAS-mode (also known as FLCH on new boeings). There is the wonderfull free panel from Mathias Lieberecht, some time ago i suggested him to start using FSUIPC to let people use his panels with hardware, don't know if he ever did anything in this regard. If so maybe you could use that panel.

Yeah, would love to use that panel with my cockpit - alas he hasn't done that :(

I'm still having problems with the v/s every time I press that button it goes back to a default of 1500. If I don't select the altitude button, I'm fine I climb at the prescribed rate, but if I press the alt button I then get forced to the planes default climb rate.

Great plane that BAe ! I love it just as much as my F50.Same systems btw.ALT should not alter the climb rate. Not in F50, not in BAe and worst of all for FS .. not in airbus or boing !ALT is just pressed so that the plane will "capture" the altitude. So here 's the only sollution: (and exactly what I am doing)Have the creator of the panel program key commands into the gauges so to enable you not to use the FS variables. When I press a key, that very button ALT is triggered, not the FS variable for the well known ALT switch which is not used by my or your panel.Other option: flood MS with mails that you want this error fixed in FS10 :-lolow ask them to disconnect the front gear steering from the tail rudder while you're at it. So that we can all install a working tiller ;) TNX !Hope for you the panel you use is freeware, cuz those guys can be more easely convinced to put key commands into the code.I even have Espen Oijordsbakken program code so that I can read via fsuipc the status of leds .. this way I know for sure in my software if the ALT btn is on or not. Neat stuff .. only I'm still waiting for the new .gau file ;)

you got that same issue if you click with your mouse ?of so, then that is panel-code-error .. or at least the panel-code uses the default variable for the ALT switch which triggers the "FS-bug". If not I hope you will get to trigger the actual panel-code-switch via your interface some day as I explained in my other post.

I have been testing in the default 737-400 and still have the same thing, as long as I don't select alt I can set the v/s to whatever profile I am in by pressing the v/s button (there isn't one on the 737-400 panel so can't press it by mouse), but as soon as I press alt 1800 comes up on the VS and then the plane alters it's profile to 1800ft/sI have the mcp from pm - but I can't set the altitude, or heading due to being incompatible with the rotary switches I'm using.
