Featured Replies

Who else is out there building prop sims? Turboprop or piston, especially twins.I know that there's a few of us but I haven't seen any recent pics and I like to see updates cos I think it helps with the motivation and bounces ideas around. All the best for 2005DeanHttp://simflight.fotopic.net

Very nice your simulator,I build a generic twin turboprops too in wood (cause I can put a real cockpit in my appartment, my girl couln'd not understand :-) )Your simkit's look great on the panel. What type of plane is it a beech ?I've made a custom picture for the Airspeed simkit's modulefor the KingAir, I can give you the file if you'll need it, it's more accurante than the simkit's one ...BOBhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/102455.jpg

Hey Dean...You KNOW I am! Happy New Year - did the panel arrive yet?

Hi Bob, Thanks for the faceplate, and yes it's a Beechcraft Queenair/Kingair hybrid. Dean

Hi Mitch, The panel hasn't arrived yet, but it's a bank holiday over here so the post office ain't working. I'm hoping for tomorrow. All the best, Dean

Hey Guys,Mine is a Beech 1900/generic twin. Waiting on AGT panels. Soon hopefully! Still drooling over the FlightIllusion engine instruments http://members.chello.nl/p.leerentveld/productsenglish.htmI have the AOG SA-WXR http://members.chello.at/addongauges/ weather radar working in the pmRJ nav display. Works great.Sorry for no pic. The only ones I have exceed the 125K file limit. I'll shoot another for attaching.RichardP.S. Many thanks to Dean and Mitch for their help.

My sim is a generic twin turboprop. I use the PMDG Beech 1900 for flight dynamics, Project Magenta RJ glass cockpit, and GoFlight units for throttle, flaps/gear/trim, comm, nav, and autopilot. AGT is custom cutting panels for the overhead (paper mockup in place) and instrument panels. The Integrated Flight Systems Photon system (located in the overhead) is the interface along with GoFlight. I hope to add an AFCS III yoke soon to replace the A320 joystick. Seat with lap and sholder harness is out of an unknown USAF aircraft. Probably an aft crew seat vs pilot/co-pilot.RichardPS Forgot to thank Ron Duckworth for his shell tutorial.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103166.jpg

Very nice Richard. I didn't realise that you were so far along in the build.I just got a sub panel light plate from Mitch, must be rarer than rocking horse doo doo. I been trying to get hold of them for over 6 months. Peter Cos is looking at custom making the rest of them for me.Dean

Rich,The shell looks great! I am still a bit away from that stage, - I'm still doing wiring and interfacing... what I need is a 5Ghz machne with 10GB of memroy, Windows 2006 and FS11!I have the original version of Marco's engine stack and I have to say that if you haven't got it - GET IT! There is no subsitute for them - as real as it gets... truely a mastervful poiece of engineering!
