January 22, 200521 yr Expensive ...My simkits work very wellI planned to make a wetcompas with the new usb stepper controller of opencockpits ... BOB
January 22, 200521 yr simkits is all plastics while seagull will be metal gauges .. therefore not that expencive I believe
January 22, 200521 yr Yes, I can see why some would say that they are expensive compared to the simkits I am using now. But, there is no interface card needed, no need to worry about calibrating every so often when things "slip" a bit inside hopefully and much more to the point in my case, I can have duplicated pilot/co-pilot instruments without having to run a second interface card on a networked PC.I have to say that on paper they look good and the rough pricing whilst a little high, isn't too bad for plug n play instruments especially if something other than the ubiquitous Cessna instruments can be made.I will be watching both seagull and simkits, and I may have to make some careful decisions.
