February 19, 200521 yr Is there a program, or a way to modify an aircraft panel to assign keystrokes for panel functions that are normally controlled by a mouse click?I'm using a Hagstrom LP24 emulator and I would like to get a little more functionality out of the aircraft panels using real switches instead of being tied down to a mouse for switch functions.I'm using the Probst B727 panel with an FFX B727 using FS2K2. Any help or direction would be most appreciated.
February 20, 200521 yr Sure. Do a Google search for Key2Mouse (I don't have the url at hand right now).Have fun!Jaap Verduijn.
February 20, 200521 yr That program works great. I purchased and downloaded last night. Unfortunately, for keystrokes to work on the hidden panels (overhead, radios, etc) they have to be opened. It sort of defeats the purpose of the physical hardware when you have to call up a computer panel to get it to work.Anyway, thanks for the link. I'll figure out something to do with it.
February 20, 200521 yr You will have to add another monitor which you don't look at which holds all panels open.It is quite logic and obvious if you think about it. There can be no mouse click on something that is not shown on a screen. It would make sence for cockpit builders but as so often .. not for anyone else on this entire planet ;)
February 24, 200521 yr Although I myself wouldn't know how to do this exactly, there seems to be a way around your problem. Use PanelStudio to move or copy the gauges from the other panels to your main panel (that's the part I know how to do - grin), and then change them into "invisible click spots" (which is the part I do NOT know how to do). After that it's simply the Key2Mouse routine. Although PanelStudio seems to offer a way to do this, I never got around to figuring out how. But it CAN be done, I'm sure!Be well!Jaap Verduijn.
