March 30, 200521 yr Hi guys.I'm looking to build a simplified version of the throttle quadrant shown in this tutorial http://www.simpits.org/articles/throttle_quad/throtquad.html . Basically, I want to have 6 levers (2 throttle, 2 propeller, 2 mixture) and thats it for now. Besides flying FS2004, I also play IL-2 Sturmovik so it must be able to function normally outside of FS2004.I was just wondering if the above tutorial is a good place to start, or if there is perhaps an easier way to accomplish my goal? I'm confident in my ability to physically build the thing, but when it comes to wiring, or writing hardware drivers I'm a complete novice. From my understanding, once everything is built, it's simply a matter of adding a new game device in windows with 6 axis?Any advice and suggestion of parts to buy is greatly appreciated.
