March 31, 200521 yr Talk about some tedious wiring!! After about 3-4 long days of wiring, the electrical panel is finally fully wired! The logical code is done, I am just working on the I/O code. The panel is 100% independant of all other panels, and requires only 1 USB cable, and a cannon plug (5/28 volt power supply) to function.http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel1.JPGBefore wiring began. All these wires were left on the switches when they were removed from the aircraft.http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel5.JPGThe new wiring!http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel2.JPGhttp://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel3.JPGhttp://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel4.JPGI almost didn't survive this one Robert

March 31, 200521 yr Thanks to everyone for the wonderful words!>All done with the academics, yet?Not quite. Still have about 6 more weeks before graduation. I've been able to wire my panels in between classes though, which works out well.Robert
March 31, 200521 yr >I was wondering where you got that cannon plug.. I'm looking>for that!Unfortunately, I don't have a source for those. Was a one time lot...Robert

April 1, 200521 yr A night photo with most of the annunciators illuminated...http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel7.JPGA few correctly enscribed caps are still under search. The bright red light is from the LED indicators on the Phidget board. They are quite bright when they are all illuminated.Robert
April 1, 200521 yr Robert,Are they real Kory annunciators?Very nice work. You don't have a part-time job in the aircraft industry between studies do you? Maybe this is your calling.I'd be pretty #### proud of myself if I'd made something that good.David
April 1, 200521 yr >>>Are they real Kory annunciators?Yes indeed! Well, technically they are a mix of Korry switches and Eaton switches. They seem to mix quite well..>>Very nice work. You don't have a part-time job in the>>aircraft industry between studies do you? Maybe this is your>>calling. It's been a trial and error process since back in the nineties (as if that was terribly long ago ). I guess eventually one stops screwing up and gets it right! I'll may be right back in the energy field soon . Looks like this will continue to be just a hobby for me...>>I'd be pretty #### proud of myself if I'd made something that>>good.Very encouraging words!... You guys make me want to run home and work on some more modules! Hmm.... give me till the end of the weekend ;-)Robert
