April 1, 200521 yr Hello AllI have hunted through suppliers for a ready made Boeing type gear lever, even asked PFC if they would sell one of theirs but they only put them into their cockpits. Does anyone know where I can buy one or am I going to have to hack my GoFlight unit? With my (non-existant)skills I would probably wreck it and have to buy another one!CheersIan
April 1, 200521 yr I thought I should try Dakenskys and see if they could help, but on NTL their site seems to be down at the moment - any news?Again any help would be really appreciated especially Mike Powell who knows things I have'nt dreamed of yet!Ian
April 1, 200521 yr Hi!I bought my landing gear from cockpitsonic.de. Think its part of their landing gear panel, but they are flexible and I got only the mechanism. The Functionallity is there, but I modified it a bit - see attached pic. Works like a charm and have switches for all three positions (no locking solenoid, though).http://www.almenningen.no/fs/gear_1.jpghttp://www.almenningen.no/fs/gear_2.jpgRegards,Ole J. April 1, 200521 yr Thank you for the compliment, Ian. However, on the topic of landing gear switches I'm sure there are people more knowledgeable than I am.I believe there was a post here a few months back showcasing a very nice cast(?) LG knob. And over at ViperPits.Org some time back, someone (Gwen "Angela Deth", perhaps) posted some pictures of the inner workings of a self-made LG switch lever.Dropping Ken a note at Daken-Skys might be worthwhile as well. Never know what he's got in the pipeline.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
April 2, 200521 yr The landing gear control in the above photo is the same as I bought from Aircraft Simulators http://www.aircraftsimulators.com/737NG.htmlfor my B727-200 project.I piggy-backed additional lever switches to control the LED lighting on the fake Korry indicators.Where did you find that good looking knob for your lever?I had to make one myself out of an un-used telescope focusing knob. The knob that was included with the mechanism wasn't even close to real. Mine is better, but still not completely authentic looking.
April 2, 200521 yr A big thankyou to all of you. These are the sites I hadn't tracked down. Will try Dakensky later on again.Best wishesIan

They used to resell the landing gear lever from cockpitsonic, but due to delivery problems, they decided to havethem created in The Netherlands themselves instead of buying themfrom cockpitsonic. I have not seen them on theirpricelist yet but expect them in the very near future. You couldkeep an eye on www.lhshop.nl (maybe there is an English versionas well) or drop them an e-mail, maybe they can give an estimationwhen the landing gear levers will be in stock.I am waiting for a B737 landing gear lever, myself, since Novemberlast year... Best regards & happy landings,Edwin Room
