April 26, 200521 yr I am experimenting with a prototype to make my own korry switches for my 777 overhead. I use a aluminium square frame of 20 x 20 mm and cut it in parts of 15 mm. Put a longitudinal part in it to bloch the light from the lower to the upper room inside the alu square. The back is closed, it is painted black. For front covering I use clear plexi, paint it on the backside and engrave it from the back (on - fault). One compartment will contain a white led and one a red led. This body of aluminium will be connected to a small momentary microswitch (see pic). The switch is hold to the panel about the same way as done by FDS.The switch has 4 pins 1,2,3, and 4. 1 is in connection (shorted) with 3 and 2 with 4. When the button is pressed, 1 is shorted to 2 and 3 to 4.So in fact it is not a dual pole switch, a DP switch would have 2 isolated circuits that both get closed by pushing the button. Now my question:Ofcourse I can connect the switch to fskey and make it a APU start switch for example. But to what do you guys connect the white LED, to FSLED and have everything done by fsbus? Or just design a special circuit for driving the leds? Because the buttons are momentary and the led has to stay on till the next time the button is pressed, the second option seems difficult for me (I am no expert in electronics at all), besides that you have the problem of staying in sync between the hardware and the sw.Thanks for any help on this.RegardsNorbert

April 26, 200521 yr 2 options- 1) either put a switch behind it instead of a push button- 2) CCC from Fsbus should be powerfull enough to handel this situation with a push button turning on/off a led on each press.
April 26, 200521 yr Boeing Overhead switches in the Brown Cockpits are 1 Inch X 1 Inch big mechanical switches just as a size reference... they might be a bit bigger than that!Roberto
April 27, 200521 yr Author http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114303.jpgHere you see the cad file. The panel is in blue, behind that comes a layer to which the spacers are glued. The spacer holds a new layer that holds the switch. The 4 little cirkels are the holes to be made for the pins of the switch. First I will build a prototype before starting the production run for 62 korries (lot of work, but fun).Regards Norbert
