April 27, 200521 yr Hello everyone,I am goinging to convert a trim panel. All three trim knobs (Roll, Taw, Pitch) come with two sides (for Yaw, upper and lower knob). Does different side control different trim surface? These knob operate like a switch with three positions. Left, center, right. It spring back to center position. Hopefully it is an easy unti to be converted. Will open the box tonight.Alkitwww.alkit.nethttp://alkit.fotopic.net
April 28, 200521 yr Hello Hello everyone!!After a lot of try and error, I am able to test flight the device in a Baron last night til 2am. I start using it in 3000AGL. I am able to use this trim inputs (rudder, alieron and elevator trim) only to land ...dangeriously on grass next to runway. My finger feel a bit pain after that, since these switches are not the soft-touch type. Anyway, I am happy with it.http://alkit.fotopic.net/c518114.htmlIn fact, does this trim panel have any connection to the autopilot?? Anyone know?Alkitwww.alkit.nethttp://alkit.fotopic.net

Will open the box tonight. On the GA planes that I have had experience with in real life, the two trim switches exist to provide protection against accidental movement and switch failure - basically one of them is the trim signal and the other connects power to the trim motor. So basically, you have to press both to adjust the trim. Accidentally pressing one does nothing, as well as if one switch breaks and gets stuck in "on" position - it would be dangerous if that would move the trim to extreme end. So you should connect them in "series" so that both need to be pressed in the desired direction to have an effect.//Tuomas

The "on/off" voice buttons you can wire of course, but AFAIK in FS you cannot adjust each radios volumes independently.//Tuomas
April 30, 200521 yr Hello Tuomas,Thank you very much for telling me this. I then will not try to convert those volume knobs now, but the seven buttons above. I may assign them as signal identification button of different radio. If I have time, I will convert one of those volume control knobs as a practice for converting that type of input. But next, I will finish up the headset panel first. As I converted the microphone side only. Will work on the headset side tonight.Alkit
