May 18, 200521 yr Hi all.Was just wondering, what all you builders out there do with those commands you can activate more than one place? I am in the very beginning of building a throttle quadrant, and was wondering if someone have made working trim-wheels, and still have the buttons for elevator-trim on the yoke working? And how about the A/T disconnect on the TQ, and AP disconnect on the yoke? Will that conflict with the Autopilot (CP-flight) hardware, or just override it?Any experiences?Regards, Jan
May 18, 200521 yr Easiest - and most realistic - way would be to attach a rotary encoder to the manual trim wheel that actually sends the trim commands to the simulator, and then have the switches on the yoke operate a little electric motor that physically moves the trim wheel.A small DC electric motor would have easily enough pep to turn the wheel, but when not powered would have little resistance to being rotated manually when you use the wheel to adjust the trim.Richard
