July 1, 200520 yr i would like to make my sim room look like the interior of an aircraft cabin....doesn't matter if its a prop or jet cabin....where in the world do i find junked planes to strip the interior cabin parts from?
July 2, 200520 yr Depending on where you live, boneyards came be hard to come by... you may have better luck on the internet. There's lots of places - EBay is particularly good sometimes for off-the-wall airliner cabin stuff (vents, lights, seats, etc). Check out http://www.barnstormers.com/ which has LOTS of assorted aircraft bits. Also check out Nick Louis at the Airline Pilots Historical Society.... (your purchase may be tax deductible as well!). Check them out at www.oncealoft.com. You can get some ideas of what "look" your going for by looking at pictures at www.airliners.net.Good luck.
July 5, 200520 yr >what i need the most are the interior wall panels...whatever>they are made of...Usually plastic :) or fabric / leather, depending of the plane.I guess one could do pretty decent stuff from styroboard / flower foam that is covered with newspapers plastered in layers or such - much like laminating fiberglass, but with paper - then cover the whole thing with a fabric, or sand & paint. Would fit your construction better than some random parts from some random aircraft..//Tuomas
July 5, 200520 yr that seems like a little too much work for me....mostly i would like to strip the panels off a junked plane
