Being cheap and not knowing any better I thought I would try to make my instrument backgrounds and switch labels using PShop, Wal-Mart, and basic handtools. http://photos.imageevent.com/dvds4bmx/cool...example/hdg.jpgNo, they are not backlighted, not many buttons in GA aircraft are. But I think we have a trick for backlighting (CHEAP) after we verify this method.
