Hi All.I fly a noisy aircraft and the engines tend to drown out the ATC! I have tried putting the sound through a graphics equaliser to remove the bottom end of the signal - but it aint much better. Because I have a second audio feed to a powerfull amplifier, I can afford to reduce one output to 100% ATC - but how to split an output that has both engines AND ATC in the same feed???Any technical types out there that can help? At this rate, it seems that my choice is full authentic engine sound - or ATC - but not both!! Has anybody got a Go Flight GF ATC Headset module? It's supposed to split the sound up - but I don't think it can be any good?TONY. U.K.

Hi George.I was talking about the built-in ATC with FS. It mixes ATC with all other sounds as well - and I need ATC to be more distinct. Is there anthing I can do to seperate ATC so it is clearer? How does VATSIM/IVAO help? I don't really want to fly online - but if I can get clearer ATC, I would consider it. I intend to use VOX ATC, and wonder if this system will help with the problem?Any suggestions would be gratefully received.Thanks.TONY. U.K.

couldn't you mix the ATC and engines soundlevel in FS on sound parameter ?The advantage with IVAO is that you can choose another sound output/device for atc, if you've a 5 channel sound card of course ...you can separated totally the voice in a other loudspeaker and control the volume ...ByeBOB

>The advantage with IVAO is that you can choose another sound>output/device for atc, if you've a 5 channel sound card of>course ...Same with most other "network sound" systems. VATSIM has the same, as well if you use TeamSpeak or Roger Wilco to fly with friends. You can stick in another soundcard too, those are very very cheap nowadays. Use that for the headset and the main one for your speakers..But yeah, for built in ATC sound, go and configure the FS2004 sound settings, it's right there..//Tuomas

That's exactly what I was about to say.In FS settings you got slide bars for engine/sim/atc/etc.. sounds separately. What I do in my Fokker 50 is put ATC slider to 100% and then put the engine slider to somewhat 50% or less. Then if you like your engines loud, just put your volume up .. but be ware cuz ATC will be then screaming at you ..It's all just a matter of finding a good balance between the 2.

Thanks Guys.Have mucked about with the sliders, and got a good balance! Should have thought of that myself!! Two sound cards though? anybody done this? sounds neat - but will it work?TONY.

It does work. However as stated, only for when you have live atc from the networks.

The problem is.... you can't assign different FS sounds to separate sound cards. Would be nice if we builders can do that.If MSFS team is listening... possibly a added feature in the next addition of FS10???? :)

Might work just fine.//Tuomas
