Mixing BIFS with Keyboard Emulator possible?

Featured Replies

1. Is this possible to simulateously use BIFS and Keyboard Emulator from Beta Innovations?2. Is this possible to access more complicated functions in FS (available only via FSUIPC offsets - like setting SquawkBox3 XPNDR modes) with BIFS? Or is BIFS only suitable for commands available in FS assignments menu?3. Should I expect better response times with BIFS (than with Keyboard Emulator) and GammaRay64 + Cyclotron (especially with rotaries)?

Hi Piotr, 1 - Yes, I am running both Bifs and Keyboard emulator at the same time.2 - No, my understanding is BIFS is accessing the same commands available in the FS Panel SDK. (And I am not seeing any "offset" type commands in BIFS).3. Yes, BIFS is better, especially for rotary inputs because of faster response. I must say that BIFS is extremely easy to program. Flip your switch or turn your rotary and the corresponding input number lights up. Select it, and then select your command from a drop down list. It's even possible to trigger an external program to run. You can select "on press" and "on release" commands. I have the gamma64 and cyclotron, along with the plasma v2 and the ace expansion for the plasma.

Great news. Thanks a lot!
