Frustration

Why is it that so many suppliers to this hobby only accept paypal? My credit card is an online credit card, and paypal does not accept this card at all, I don't want to get a proper credit card as I have had problems before, yet I can't buy anything to do with this hobby, I've bought tons of other things, from all over the net, but because paypal doesn't accept the epassporte cards, I can't buy for this hobby.Insane :(The fees for epassporte are lower than paypal for starters :) but the only disadvantage, is you can't withdraw money to your bank account, only cash :)

I do not know "epassports" but the reason I use Paypal is because of buyer protection.PP also offers seller protection against fraudulent credit cards. In order to offer this kind of 100% bi-directional protection I assume that PP prefers working with reputable CC companies which have a full and professional tracking, security etc. systems behind them.

Go to your bank and get a debit card for your checking account. It works the same as a credit card for Paypal and just about anything else on-line.The only difference is that you don't get a monthly bill to pay off, it's deducted from your checking account within a day or two if not hours.

I get payment to epassporte for some online work I do, and so do most of the online purchases through them.Just annoyed at paypal more than anything - and that everyone in the cockpit hobby seems to only use it.I bought all my CH products using it, software for FS using it - but cockpit? nada :(

The frustration is clear, when you feel like a choice is forced upon you. And yes, in this hobby paypal is being used very much, so if you can't beat them, join 'm ;-)On the other hand I must say that I started to use paypal and am very pleased with it. Once I got a fraudulent phishing-mail and I forwarded it to paypal and their reponse was very swift and to the point. So this is the benefit when using it. And I had to send money to some mates and this was done in a few clicks. Hope you find a solution...

Unless I missunderstand you can use Paypal and pay directly out of your bank account instead of credit card, it seems here you are a verified user and you get a bit more status!!Steve

That really is beside the point, I don't want to take the money out of my bank account, I work on the side - and that's my hobby money, it's non-taxable etc.To put that money into my account, and then if I get audited - god help me if they ask where I got it from :)Paypal have also made some decisions that have affected people I work with, and for - so I don't like to support them either :)Oh well, I'll find someone local who can make the boards, and panels, withdraw the money via epassporte, pay them cash - will cost more, and will need to find it, but if I can't buy them online, I have no choice.Would of liked to support the people already making them though.I'm surprised that a dedicated FS shop online couldn't stock this stuff on the side, even if they took orders, added a bit, and just forwarded it on, would be nice to find most things under one roof as they say.Ultimately, I will still get the parts, just not through the vendors online.PS - If any shop online was reading this and was keen to do something like this, feel free to msg me :)
