Problems connecting GC software

Featured Replies

I have Wideserver running on FS computer (with latest FSUIPC) and Wideclient on another. Wideclient shows "connected", FS shows "1 connected", so there seems to be a proper network connection. When I run any of the glass cockpit software I can find (Project Magenta demos, OpenGC, GlassFlightDeck), none of them seems to work... As if it's not connected. I've edited the ini files, everything seems to be correct.Anyone can help? What could be the problem??? My goal is to run all gauges on a laptop, while projecting the view from FS computer via DLP projector. Thanks for your help...Maybe there is another way of doing this? Like installing FS2004 onto the laptop and syncing them somehow, just to show the panel? Is this possible?

And you have the registered version of both WideFS and FSUIPC?

Yes. Do I understand correctly that WideFS server is registered on the FS compuer (inside the FSUPC), but the WideFS client does not have a registration dialog? WideFS says "connected" so I assume it's set up correctly... I don't have a budget fot Project Magenta stuff though, so I though about using one of the free glass cockpits alternatives. All i need is a generic instrument panel on the laptop...

found a problem, problem solved :-)
